being winded easily.? My situation is a little complicated. I am 19 years old. I've had allergies and asthma for about 3-4 years now. I know most of the reason why I attained my problems was because of gaining weight and getting out of shape. About a year ago I decided to get in better shape and it worked pretty well. I lost roughly 40lbs. Now I'm about where my BMI should be. And my asthma has gotten MUCH better. I pretty much feel as if I'm not affected by it anymore at all.

I started out running about 1/2 a mile straight without stopping. I got up to the point to where I can now run about 2 miles without stopping at a decent pace, in just one year. My asthma would not affect me during exercise. I could breathe better, developed better stamina etc. When I started to get in better shape, my asthma and allergies became much better.

Seasonal changes hit my allergies real hard at first, but then simmer down. But this recent change from winter to spring, has hit me pretty hard. And one day I woke up, and I was out of breath from just walking to the fridge. I would be winded and need a break to talk. From just walking! It was like that for about a week. It got a little better recently. Now I don't get winded so extreme, but I still get winded VERY easily. I'm back to only being able to run about 1/2 mile before getting so winded and exhausted. My breathing has become fine again, except when I exercise. And I don't get constricted or anything because of asthma, I just get winded EXTREMELY easy now. Just like I did when I was out of shape. And I've physically stayed in shape. I really do not feel as if my asthma is playing a role in this, because I've experienced asthma restrictions, and this is nothing like it. It's almost as if the last year just went away, and I'm back to the way I was, minus gaining weight.

So I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this? And if they have, did you ever get over it? What did you do to help you? And will it get better as may body acclimates to the new season and weather?

I apologize for this being so very long, but any response and input will be great. Thanks.
