My sister in law passed away and her funeral is on Friday. I asked my husbands

family what they are doing...? Everyone pretty much said that they are giving their niece cash to help pay for her mother's funeral...I don't wish to give cash because they owe us alot of money over a house we cosigned with them and they are always late on the payments so it ruined our credit and we get the calls every month almost daily. I was thinking of buying a nice bouquet of flowers and a card or baking a nice batch of my best cupcakes and a card...would these work in lieu of giving of giving cash or what should we give...my husband said whatever I do will be fine with him.
 
Any of the things you mentioned would be nice. Yes it would work in lieu of giving cash. I am sure at a time like this that anything you would do or give would be greatly appreciated.
