My sister has a 2002 chrysler sebring lx convertible, having issue with heating system?

When driving below 65 mph heating system works fine, when she accelerrates over that the heat quits working. What would be the cause for this? Is it the vacuum hose or posibly the war pump? Another question is where is the thermosta located on this car? It is not in the normal place it should be......Any ideas/suggestions would be very appreciated. Thank You
sorry meant water pump. also does not over heat at all.
 
The thermostat is on the left hand side Right where you add water it is called the inlet. It is a 2.5L take off the cap and remove the outlet and it will be right there
