my sims 2 game quits on me everytime i press the chair button?

I have the EP: bon voyage, buisness, pets, seasons, university, glamour life stuff.

whenever i click the chiar button in buy mode it quits on me automaticly. i've tried reseting the game and it still does the same thing. any ideas?
