My Sims 2 Game Isn't Working.?

I have the sims 2 with Seasons, Pets and Nightlife, but summin is wrong. When I try to load a house or community lot it loads FOREVER! I end up having to take out the battery to my laptop because I can't do anything else to stop it. My computer is fast and it has summin to do with tha game. I have ALOT of Custom Content and I went through it, thinking it was the problem, and when I tried to get back on the game, ALL my custom content wasn't there. So I restarted the game and it still won't show up and i still can't load houses. i copied and pasted all the files to another download file in the Sims 2 folder and my CC houses showed up (but won't load) and when i tried to make a family the body shop CC wouldn't show up either. PLEASE HELP!
 
i had the same prob. unfortunately, the only thing i cud do was delete ALL the custom content... at least i got the game to work.
