So, I puted my Siamese fighting fish in the same tank with my goldfish. I read alot of articles and science books about Siamese fighting fish or japanese fighting fish that they dont get along with their own kind, but they get along with other kinds like goldfish. So yeah i put the goldfish and the Siamese fighting fish in the tank. The tank is really big too like 10 gallons. Then i found out and saw my Siamese fighting fish chaisng my gold fishes and like puting their heads and tackling , im not sure if it is tackleing but those fishes and pushing ans stuff. Are they fighting? or playing?

Yes, bettas can be a community fish..sometimes. But they should never be put with golds. Golds produce a large amount of waste and therefore foul the water quickly. Bettas are touchy about bad water, no matter what some people say. it's their ancestors that lived in rice paddies..not the ones you buy now. With their long flowing fins, fin rot can be quickly caught. Plus your tank is not big enough for the one gold, even without the betta. Golds belong only with golds.

Well what you read was wrong. Bettas are territorial fish and like it all to themselves. Besides, a goldfish gets to big for a 10gal. That betta would love you for getting the goldies out and let him be his own fish.
