yesterday i bought a siamese fighter fish before i put him in my tropical biOrb i changed the filter and cleaned the glass inside. then i put him in whilst still in the bag to get used to the water temp (80 degrees) and left him like that for 20 mins there untied the bag and allowed him to swim out once ready. he was in the tank for about 30 mins and he started chasing and attacking my two guppys (one male one female). This morning i looked in the tank and the siamese fighter fish was dead. I dunno how he died? Im really puzzled, when i bought him from the pet shop he was in a tank with other fish and he didn't seem to be attacking them so..

if you take him back to the pet store, most have a 14 day guarantee that if you either don't like your pet or it dies, you can take it back and recieve your money back.. but you have to still have the fish..

How big is this biorb? Small containers means fish react to being crowded differently then they do in bigger tanks. plus this was a new home for him. guppies usually don't get as long with bettad, as the males fancy fins make him think its another male betta. Why he died? it could been shock from being moved..they do from that sometimes. It could be your water quality..even if the guppies are doing okay, he might not be fine.
It's really hard to say for sure, if you saw no outward sign or injury or illness.
