My samsung plasma tv turns on and off by itself and wont stop!?

the tv is only 3 years old unfortunately i didnt get the warranty...grr...anyway today i turned it on and it was working fine until a few minutes later i changed the channel and it just started this cycle of on and off...i called the stupid samsung comp. but they had no real answer and said i needed to get it serviced blah blah...what could be causing this? i ve checked sleep timer etc and nothing helps....

If anything, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT EVER AGAIN!
