months, any suggestions? My room mate and I are taking a backpacking trip across Southeast Asia for three months, any suggestions? This is my first backpacking experience so any information that you could give me would be invaluable. What backpack to buy, where to go, how much money to take, what sights to see, how long should we stay in each place, anything! I have lived in South Korea for the past two years and have a good understanding of the language and culture here so, I am not a newbie to this part of the world. So I don't really need anyone giving me advice who hasn't done this trek before, thanks but I need advice from experiences seasoned veterans who have traveled this part of the world before. . .Also, here is our tentative itinerary of places we are looking at hitting up. It is up for change at anytime and we are both really flexible with out dates:

Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zea land, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Lao, Vietnam, and China
