Hi there i recently brought a road bike about three weeks ago. everything was running fine and what not but the other day i had to remove the back wheel to fit it into a car. when i put it back together i definately noticed a difference in speed but i thought because im soo use to the pace that it was just my imagination. I then decided to test this out where i would ride through a junction that at every other time, i go extremely fast. This time however i gauged the feelings and it is DEFINATELY my bike. I definitely feel also that as i pedal, it's like i put in all this effort and im not getting the speed or acceleration i should be getting, back! anyone have any ideas what caused this? i've been researching online and something about the wheel Hubs comes up. Because i dont know maintanence though im quite concerned about trying it out but dont wanna fuck it up even more than i already must have because i also noticed by bike now sounds weirdddddd. please help.
I'm not a complete rookie at diagnosing my bike issues, The back wheel is not touching the break pads, nor the frame. the seat is raised to my comfortablility, wheels are pumped up fine. wheel is not buckled, and im a powerful rider so to 'pedal harder' is not the answer. I already stated that as i pedal the bike feels like it doesn't return the speed or the acceleration it is supposed to wehni first got it. I don't understand why it is performing the way it is. A part of me was thinking it's because i've been riding so much My legs need a break, but that is not the case im sure of it. It's the bike itself. It just feels like its not going at the speed it should be! I still have a free bike service on it so i may just bring it back to get it check but it'd be a shame to use it seeing how i have another 9 weeks left on the free service ticket.
