My ride on the dragon.

Depends, where you are you guys heading? For suggestions Ohiopyle State Park has some nice scenery and nice roads. Somerset near the Flight 93 crash site has some nice scenery (both Somerset and Ohiopyle are near each other). Route 30 from Somerset out to Gettysburg is very nice, twisty and up and down through the mountains. Wife and I rode that route last year on our way out to the HD plant in York.

The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon is something I have yet to see, but I am told it is beautiful. Maybe someone who has been there can chime in. Let me know where you guys are heading to and maybe I can help.

Nice video, my wife just ordered the new contour HD helmet cam. we have a friend coming from Hawaii this month. She will be renting a bike while she's here for two days. we plan to ride the Dragon and Cherahala Skyway. Plus some other rides as well.

The next time any of you ride Cherahala Skyway, be sure and go to Bald River Falls. You'll see the signs not far from the Tellico Plains end. The Fish hatchery is down there just past the falls. Great scenery! Here's a pic of me standing in front of Bald River Falls.

Yeah, you were ridin it pretty good there Bro. Gotta watch leaning over the yellow lines on the left hand turns because there have been numerous accidents here in SC with crotch rockets pushing too hard, or kids drifting on the turns. Never can tell when an idiot like that can be around the next turn. I am glad you were safe. Every body has to ride the dragon once.

We were there in April. The TN side was still closed at the bottom, but it was worth the experience. We did alot of the BRP except where closed for rock slides as well. I will however remember Rt 28 and the Q sign that led me into a fantastic board scraping adventure. Actually the Devils Triangle was a great road as well. Well except for the Coal Trucks.
We are headed back next year because there are so many more roads we want to ride. We stayed in Gatlinburg TN on the ski mountain. Those roads we a "warm up" for our entire week.

Dammit Man That Looks Like a Helluva Lotta Fun.

I gotta do that ride one of these day's.

Great Vids. Found myself leaning in my chair here in front of the computer while watching.

Great Video, Some friends and my wife and I went in July.We had a GREAT time we live in NE ohio and went a little out of our way on the way down to ride the Blue ridge Parkway. It is 45MPH the whole way so the driver can enjoy the ride as much as the passenger. then on to the Charahola Skyway!! What a GREAT ride as well. Its so nice not to have to dodge pot holes. After that we hit the dragon It happened to be the day it reopened ( the north end was closed due to rock slides) soon as we started it began to rain, it was just as cool riding it in the rain. We ended up on the bikes for almost 12 hours that day!(one of my best days) The following day we went to a place called cades cove. It is an 11 mile loop in the smokies were we saw the most beautiful mountain scenery I have ever seen, along with deer, wild turkeys and even a mother and cub black bear!! I hope we can do it again next year!!!

Thanks for the memories.I was there on sunday June 13th.Man,what a ride. There was a guy there taking pics, looked at them on line, looks like i'm doing 100mph on a corner, you can see the soles off my boots, only doing about 30 though. What a hoot.
