So, I'm black, and my gorgeous husband is white, and we had been happily married for a few years now. When we were dating, his older brother had pulled me aside in a party and flat out told me that I should stop dating Ken (my husband) because we are different. I didn't tell my husband anything about that because I was just so ashamed of the whole incident, I remember having a lump in my throat when I heard my brother in law say that, and just couldn't comprehend, how a man of his stature could harbor such mentality. Anyway, so that was years ago, and the brother in law had suffered from an accident and is now completely paralyzed - he can't even speak. I am going to be visiting him in the hospital this coming Saturday in front of his family members, and I was wondering how should I react to his condition in front of them, since I basically don't feel any remorse for him, I don't even feel angry anymore. I just feel nothing when it concerns him. Should I even tell my hubby about the racist slur his brother made then?
