Since coming off the pill my acne's been worse than ever. This caused me to try alternative methoRAB b/c I am not going on Accutane again. I've been dealing with acne for over 17 years.
So I got the insulin and glucose tests, because I thought it could be PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), and those came back fine. Not to say I don't have that but it is great that those came back fine and would lead me to believe I should try another route.
So then I got the ELISA blood test and found out according to the test that I am sensitive to the following: cow's milk, gluten, wheat, brewer's yeast and baker's yeast. There were some other wierd things on there like lemon and blueberry and cauliflower and broccoli and lima beans, etc. But I have read some very convincing things about candida (yeast) and gluten with regard to them contributing heavily to acne. It's just that it is too hard for most people to change their life such that they actually FIND and REMOVE the causal agent.
Does anyone know about the reliability of this test? Also, any advice from anyone before completely trying to give up gluten or yeast? Should I try to give up even more sugar since that feeRAB the yeast, or should I just focus on removing the gluten first? It's gonna be hard enough removing bread from my diet. I read we crave the fooRAB our bodies don't want us to have, and I CRAVE bread.
Oh and I got a mineral test and my B12 is down slightly and my CoQ10 is down, whatever that is.
Wish me luck, I hope this works. Nothing else has.
