My PSP suddenly shuts off while the loading screen is flashing. Why does this happen?

I was playing Tales of the world and then after I defeated this boss the "now loading" screen came up and then after a while my PSP shuts off with a clicking sound. :( I tried it again and again and the same thing keeps happening to that particular part only.
