My PS3 won't find all video files from my media server. It especially can't find...

...the family ones I've created.? My PS3 recognises my media server, and will play photos, music, and a handful of my stored videos, however, it doesn't locate all video files. I've created my own ones from photos, however, the PS3 doesn't find them.
