discussed. What should I do? Hello!

My name is George. I own a property at 12 Yonge street worth approximately $410,000. I am still paying the mortgage.

The unit has been leased out, it is shared to 3 tenants.

I am paying nearly half a million dollars for 940 SQ FT of space. Top dollars, but unfortunately, not for a top quality suite.

Recently 'leakage' from my unit's second toilet has cause close to $10,000 worth of damage to the unit below. This was internal, and there was nothing that indicated leakage that could be seen from my unit.Nor me or my tenants could have done anything until the internal leak has already caused severe damage to the unit below.

This was caused, obviously by poor craftsmanship, and had nothing to do with my tenants negligence.

Approximately 2 months ago, a similar leak occurred in the first toilet inside my unit. There was water all over the floor, and my tenant, went straight ahead to hire a plumber to fix the leak. No damage was done to the unit below.

The manager of the management office recently came to my restaurant and served me personally with a notice entitled:

'Water Damage to Suite Below Your Suite #2308"

They claimed that they could not get in contact me with me earlier. Which is quite untrue. They insisted that a lien will be put on my unit if I did not pay for the $11,522 they asked for.

I did not pay for it. A lien was registered and they are now talking about power-of-sale.

I decided the next steps in regards to this, but I need some advice.

I thought that I should file a motion with a court to ask it to issue an injunction for the power-of-sale.

I will then file a motion to a court to ask them to review the lien, which is obviously improperly registered.

The only thing is. How do I file these documents. And which court would I go to?

Please answer my question.

George
PS: I cannot afford a lawyer.
