My pretty 4th of July poem (comment/critique)?

It's sparkly!

Free day off work
stinking hot parade
drink all day long like that creepy uncle
night comes and sparklers are lit
someone always gets burned
and why
do we let children play with fire
just one day a year
then the booming fireworks, which
i have to admit are pretty awesome
(the noise!)
especially
when you've been
drinking all day long

and for 3 weeks after the 4th people light off cracking fireworks in their backyards and interrupt my precious sleep cycle

the end.
 
It's very unique, you use words that make you seem much like an amateur, but in a way that it proves your own style
