My potted dicentra spectabilis (bleeding heart) is knocked over by the wind TWICE and alot of branches broke off! It was sitting on a stand near the porch because that's the only place to put it where it won't get much sun.........Now all my flowers are broke off......My plant won't die will it? My mom is thinking about planting it in the back corner behind our mobile home but that corner gets a bit more sun during the summer and it might kill the plant.....I also told her the plant will get huge and it may get too big for the corner. So my mom wants to know if the plant can be pruned back once in a while when it gets too big. I don't want my plant to die especially since it was hard to find that plant......I live in southern California. How much sun can it stand in this area? And what kind of food do I feed it? What can I do to keep my plant alive? All the information you can provide will be most helpful.
