My poem is titled from a phrase in a half-remembered childhood story. Will you C/C?

'Green Glass Beads" (I gave them to the moon)

I gave my oath 'neath a full moon
in the forests of my dreams.
The morning dawned, a clouded gloom
settled over dewdrops, strewn
like glass beads from broken strings.

I embarked on a quest alone
through forests, plains, rocky hills.
From the heights I have known
to look below; I have been shown
eternity, when all motion stills.

I dream of places never seen,
haunted by what I cannot know.
I don't know what these visions mean;
I seek the skies, cerulean
I feel no vertigo.
