I have had my fighter and other fish in my 3ft tank for 3 - 4 months now. No problems. 3 days ago I bought a small pleco and two fish, cant remember what they were called but they were small, long and skinny with a black and white checked tail.
I saw one of the new fish dead and my fighter was taking chucks out of it. Then some one in my family saw my pleco on top of the other new fish eating him. Im not sure if the other fish was dead or not when he was eaten.
Is this normal? since then they have been fine but why these two new fish? the pleco was new as well.
Everyone is saying fighter fish thats why but according to the internet and books they are great community fish they only fight other fighter males and sometimes fighter females.
