Im using CS3 and a genius tablet (cheap, I know). I have used this exact same set up before without any problems, but for some reason now when I turn on size jitter and set the control to pen pressure, the jitter is random and completely unrelated to the pressure I apply. So instead of having a nice thick to thin line, I get a line that is thick and thin all through it with no real reason. This is happening without any other settings adjusted, including scattering.
