I have a Motorola Droid that I've owned for a year and a half. Recently its been been acting up and not letting me charge it unless I sit there and hold the wire just right. Now I'm no cellphone expert but I repair computers and I assume its something wrong with the port. When I took it into Verizon and showed them the problem they told me that there is nothing that can be done and that they are trying to avoid looking at the port because that would be evidence of physical damage and void my warranty. I find this to be a bit ridiculous considering I treat that phone like I'll never get another one. All the damage is from everyday use of plugging the charger in. I refuse to pay to have this fixed on a phone that I payed six hundred dollars for. This has also happened with two of my other phones and quite frankly I'm getting sick of this.
