My phone isn't allowing me to delete some of my photos. Why, and how can I fix this?

I was going through my photo gallery on my phone, and I saw two pictures with a plain, black screen. Its not showing anything, so I decided to delete it. The thing is, it's not giving me the option to delete the photos. I checked my other pics, and they have the option of being deleted, but yet another pic, that also has a black screen, can't be deleted. Is it only photos with black screens, or something else? How can I fix this? I really want to delete these pictures because. They're taking up space. Please help!!
P.S. I have a G1 phone.
