My patio roof it too close to my neighbors garage. The city has denied my request to keep it. I don't have enough footage between my patio and the neighbors garage. The neighbors have given me a written letter saying they don't mind the patio at all. The city says it's a fire hazard.The fire dept. only goes out to inspect condos or large building for fire safety. How can I go about fire proofing it and legalizing it. I really don't want to teat it down.
