I would change it in a heartbeat, but unfortunately, to do so is not possible at the moment as I need it next week.
My trip requires an extra copy of JUST the photo... the photo that looks nothing like me today. It was taken years ago. If I handed that thing in it would seem as if I robbed a very unattractive 13 year old for her passport. Do you think it would be okay if I took a new picture to take place of the copy?
I don't know why I'm asking you this, when I'm going to ask the head of the program anyway. But you know, feedback would be nice. Thanks in advance.

it expired recently, but my dad renewed it without my consent! so I have a new passport with an old photo.
