I'm a Senior and I've applied to Dartmouth College, University Of Southern California, University Of California Berkley, Brown University, George Washington University, University Of Vermont, and Stanford University. I've been accepted to University Of Southern California, University Of Vermont, George Washington University and Stanford University (Thank You Jesus! So Blessed!).
Rejection letters from Dartmouth and UC Berkley
But I haven't received mine from Brown yet.
Brown is my absolute first choice and if I do get in my parents won't let me. They're worried about the costs, who i'll be living with, how far it is, and who will take care of me if I do get sick.
I see where they're coming from, but it's such a wonderful school and opportunity.
Brown has one of the BEST financial aid assistance and will fix what we can afford but they just ignored that part. I'm from California & moving to Rhode Island will be hard for me, leaving my parents who I love even though we don't see eye to eye sometimes. They think I just want to go to Brown so I can't get away from them but no I LOVE THEM but I believe Brown has so much to offer me. They said I don't know anyone there and if I get sick who will take care of me. I understand that part and probably won't see them as much as I want because of high airfare expenses but it's my chance to be independent and see what's out there. How can I convince them to let me go out of state for college?
