My mom wanted to get out from under the payments she was making on her van. She had not even been looking at cars long before she and my dad went out and bought a 1999 Ford Explorer for $2600 cash. They didn't research the car or have it looked at by a mechanic. They just bought it..OK HELLO HAVE THEY NOT HEARD OF ALL THE PROBLEMS THAT HAVE BEEN FOUND WITH THE FORD EXPLORERS, ESPECIALLY THE OLDER MODELS? They have the highest probability for rollovers compared to all other SUV's , they have problems with blow-outs which were found not just to be because of the firestone tires, but because of a problem with the axels...please tell me, am I overreacting or should I be this worried over their decision that they made without even thinking about it? I'm 24 and they are in the 50's they should know better than me, but I'm the one telling them they made a bad decision.
They did not buy what they could afford, they have money...they make over $120,000 a year together and they didn't take any time to think about it...they just did it and they weren't in a rush, which is a pattern with them...
