I have a panasonic DMC-TZ1 and whilst i CAN shoot video and view it in quicktime... i cannot use it for the purpose i want to use it for. I want to be able to edit it and add some other stuff to it in sony vegas 8 PRO, but the video just shows up as blackness. I can hear the sound perfectly, just where the video would be there's blackness. On the little bar down the bottom where it shows the file-type, it says its an audio file and a j-peg image file. I know that when the camera takes a video it also takes a picture first, which is in a jpg format, and i have also tried adding THAT image to the video in sony vegas 8 PRO, but there's still no difference. I've tried it in windows movie maker as well, just to test, and all end with the same results.
