Hey I replanted a palm tree (a baby one about 5' tall) in my backyard last year in December and thought it would do well in the Northwest because of global warming. It did fine last Winter because the only cold days we had were in Feb and it didn't freeze. This year, however... It's been nothing but below freezing every day and a few days below zero. Now my tree's pale, wilted, and thin. I think it is dead, but how do I know for sure???
