my palm centro says no service-sos only help!!?

I was talking on my palm centro by att and then it lost it's signal. Now I can't make a call or text. evrything still works on the ohone but it is not reading my sim card anymore! I called att they can't figure it out. Any suggestions?
I got a new card and I have done all the resets the phone still won't read the sim card. It says no service sos only? Any other suggestions?
 
You are stuck in emergency mode. When my Blackberry was doing it it was a service problem. I was told it could also be a bad phone. I would take the battery out and the sim card and restart the phone. If that doesn't work and you have a sim card it could be a bad card. Go to you service provider and request a new one.
