...still gaps in my teeth? there is a rather large gap at the side of my mouth and also two small gaps next to my front teeth. i had a gap between my front teeth before i had braces, but now theyve been pushed together, there are other gaps next to them. isit okay to ask my dentist if i can keep them on for longer? i have only had them on for roughly 8 months anyway. i feel that if im going to have braces, i'd rather have them on longer and get a better result than just have them off. i think my orthodontist is more concerned about the positionj of my jaw, but do you think he'll leave them on long enough for my gaps to close up if i ask?
