My old Panasonic TV has problems, how to fix it?

I have a really old TV(It's big and the screen faces out kind). There's a 41 at the middle of the screen that I can't get rid of. It used to be selecting the channel but the old controller broke. We tried everything in the menu to get rid of it but it couldn't work. Is there a way to get rid of the channel selecting thing?
