It is a Wiimote and yes it comes with one, you need another and a nunchuck for 2 player though.

I got a Wii, Extra Controller, Extra Nunchuck, Red Steel (kind of disappointed so far, it could get better), Madden 07 (sweet game), and Zelda, my bill was 487.23, so just add the 2000 points, a classic controller, and 2 games.

I will guess his was ~$740 with tax included.
