My New Honda has a feature which tells how much "life" is left in my engine oil....

...Trust the feature, or not? I've always changed oil at 3,000 or 5,000 intervals in the past. Leary of driving beyond 5k, just because the feature claims my oil "Life" says its ok.
 
Trust it, depending on driving conditions, oil can last up to 10K miles.

The Honda computer uses a complicated algorithm to compute oil life. It watches your driving style and environmental conditions to estimate the useful life of oil.

By not changing oil as often, we can save millions of barrels of oil a year, and it's easier on the environment too.
 
As long as honda is willing to warranty the motor if anything happens, why not? Just make sure the oil doesn't run low. Good luck.
