...baby. does he have rights? he's 19 and she is 17. he doesn't want to baby to leave without finding out if he's the father. The cops were called and they let him leave with the baby cause he was older. Can she filed custody? They won't let him do it because paternity hasn't been established
 
He most definetly does have rights to his child! once paternity has been established he can go to court to seek visitation. they will most likely share custody of the kiddo and she will more than likely get placement (meaning the baby lives with her) unless he can proove that she is unfit for motherhood.
