I just moved into a new apartment, and I live with a spa downstairs. I moved in last Saturday and had my furniture delivered and stuff installed, etc that day, which wasn't that loud but it was moving furniture. Then during the week, I've been at work until after 9pm every night, as has been my roommate. The spa is open until 9:30, so I am home for about 30 mins before they close. Now apparently they've been calling our landlord and complaining about us every night because we walk around in our apartment? My roommate and I always take off our shoes before entering the apartment (it is a big deal for her to not wear shoes in the house), and we haven't had any people over or and music playing yet. In any event, I don't feel like I should have to be afraid to walk around my own apartment when I get home from work. My landlord comes over at night to tell me that they've complained. I've literally only lived here a week and I am almost in shock because both me and my roommate work super long hours and are literally only in the apartment to sleep, as of now. Its been 4 days in a row now that they've complained to me. Is there something I can do to stop them from harassing me? I've never even met the spa owners, they go through the landlord for all the complaints, so when I ask the landlord what exactly the problem was (was it the furniture only?), she doesn't even know. I am really put off by this because I just moved in and I am paying a small fortune to rent this place.
