My neighborhood has a strange rule?

When I looked it up for the county I live in there I a 7 dog rule but the neighborhood I live in has a 2 dog rule. This disappoints me because I currently have one dog and there is a pair of sisters at a local rescue that I have fallen in love with and would hate to split them up although I will most likely have to if my dog ends up getting along very well with one of them when we take him to go meet them. Are there any other neighborhoods that have different pet laws than the county?

Plenty of structured subdivisions have covenants for the owners to live by. As subdivisions get older, those covenants fall away as people move and owners change.

If you violate the covenants you could end up in trouble.

That is why I would never buy a home in a brand new subdivision. My neighborhood had covenants back in the 60s, but they have not been kept up for a long long time. Thank Heaven. I don't like others telling me what I can have on my property.

Of course there are. Some neighborhoods have specific restrictions that allow fewer dogs than the county.

Each area is different....my county allows four dogs without a kennel or rescue license.
