My neighbor sctrached my brank new car that I bought five hours ago?

I just literally bought a brand new car and my neighbor was backing into the parking and he scratched the mirrow. What should I do? I was pissed off as hell. First day! Not even five hours. I wanted to curse and go knock on the door, but my mom stopped me from it. By neighbor, I mean he parks next to me, not necessarily in my building.I'm thinking of writing a note and taping it on his car. What should I do? Cause I have to remember that I am going to continue living here and if I start cursing at him, we'll still see each other and his parking will still be next to mine. And also he might just scratch it on purpose on the other side to get revenge. What to do?
 
well if u need to get it fixed or somethin go knock on his door and tell him/her. they will probably say sorry and offer u the money and take it if not say that u need the money 2 fix it. if u want take some one with u so if u feel like cussin they can stop u. but if they say anything like bitch or somethin then fuck that and say all the cursing words that u know.
