L1-L2 and L2-3 levels, no disc degeneration is noted. mild facet changes are seen.
L3-4, there is a small hyperintense annular tear seen posteriorly with an associated small central disc protrusion which causes some impression of the thecal sac. Moderate facet hypertrophy is also noted at this level. There is no evidence of exiting or traversing nerve root impingement.
L4-5, there is a small annular tear with associated small central disc protrusion with no effect on the nerve root. Moderate facet hypertrophy is noted.
L5-S1, there is disc desiccation and type 2 modic degenerative changes of vertebral endplates as well as an intravertebral herniation. A large disc bulge is noted which does not appear to be impressing on the thecal sac. Moderate facet hypertrophy is seen.
Impression: Mild multi level degenerative disease within the lurabar spine. Significant disc bulging at L5-S1 with no nerve root compression. In addition, small annular tears are seen at L3-L4 and L4-5.
This was taken almost 2 years ago, at that time I had no leg and butt pain, now I have sciatica that is getting worse all the time. They refuse another MRI, I don't know why when they could probably see its gotten worse, find out where its coming from, maybe surgery would cure my unrelenting pain.
