Yes, there both 12vdc systems. No problems.

I wouldn't jump it. What I would do is remove it from the bike and charge it. Also motorcycles don't have alternators, they have regulators. If it dose'nt take a charge, replace it.

Check the alternator and the battery.
When you jump start the bike, put a volt meter across the battery terminals. It should read between 15 and 16 volts. If it is less, your charging system is not working. If it reads between 15 and 16 volts, your charging system is ok, suspect a failing battery.
