I live in Washington state, she lives in Nevada. Do I need the title from her? I have to get the thing re-titled once I bring it back to Washington, and it doesn't mention me needing the old one to get a new one.
But it just occurred to me that I might need it to get a temporary tag in order to move it. I'm not real clear on why she can't go get a duplicate, but I'm supposed to come on Tuesday and I really need this car.
She has surrendered the tags and canceled her insurance because she wasn't using it. I was afraid this would happen.
I can add this car to my current policy, but I need to own it. Crap. this is going to be painful.
In Nevada, they require you to keep the tags to put on another vehicle or send them back, so the only thing I could do is borrow the plates off my husband's car (which isn't being driven now anyway) and pray not to get caught.
