My mother complains about my religion but doesn't care to know about it?

So my mother's always asked me why I'm into Wicca and I've told her that it's just something I'm comfortable with and I connect with. Due to lots of things she hears and watches she had a lot of assumptions about it that weren't true. She asked if I could show her something that would explain what Wiccans do and what they stand for and things of that sort. No Wiccan does the exact same thing so I printed out this section of a book of shadows I've been typing up (I'd much rather type it than write it for the simple fact that my hands hurt after writing for a while) so that I could show her. I gave it to her and she didn't even bother to try to read it. It was only two pages and she told me, "I read it and it's all about orgies and murder..." it had nothing to do with orgies or murder.

I just want to know why she complains about it and then when she has the chance to know what her daughter, that is me, is into then she doesn't even want to bother. Why keep a closed mind?
