my mother and grandmother were in a car accident yesterday, is my grandmother ok?

yesterday my mom and grandmother were hit fro m behind in our minivan, by a pick up truck. my mother is fine. but my grandmother's head hit the seatbelt buckle and has a goose egg. she went home and phoned us later that night to tell us that she has a stiff neck as well and a burning sensation in her lower back, just above her buttox. she refuses to go to the doctor but we have told her its necessary because this burning sensation does not sound good... should seek medical attention?

After any type of car accident, you should always seek medical attention just be be on the safe side. I'm not sure about the burning sensation in her lower back but a stiff neck is usually common from the impact and jolt. In many cases, people feel more sore the next couple of days after the accident than they did the day the accident occurred. I would still advise your grandmother to seek medical attention just to get everything checked out and make sure she is okay.
