My mom is thinking about buying some weird herb on the internet, but...?

So my mom is buying some weird herb on the internet; it's called Mimosa Hostilis I believe- I did a research on my own and found out it's used by the indigenous people of many countries in South America- My mom's really into all that spiritual stuff, that is why she's buying that thing. Do you think it's safe to buy it on the internet? Will the cops come knocking on our door next day?

Any advice?
