So your tank holds maybe 16 gallons (or how ever many Litres), and you empty the tank in about 1 or 2 miles? Impossible to burn that much, so you must have a big gas leak that should be dripping fuel profusely onto the ground. You should smell gasoline vapors all around the car when it's parked. If you don't have an obvious petrol leak, learn to measure your gas mileage accurately, NOT depending on the gauge. Set your trip odometer to zero when you FILL the tank. Then record the miles traveled at the next fill up. Compute Miles per gallon.
