My mate gave me 2 fish in a tank and 1 has died and now the other one is...

...acting strange why!? my mums mate gave me 2 goldfish in a plastic tank and one of them kept floating on the top so i would get it out and put it in a big bowl and it would all of a sudden come bk alive! however i got home the other day and it was defo dead. Now the other fish is staying right of the bottom of the tank and it wont move or eat does any body know what is wrong with it ! i dont wnt that 1 to die aswell :(
 
Unfortunately the problem is no airation or filtration. Goldfish are extremly good at producing waste and need excellant filtration system and airfrom an air pump to live long and happy lives. Right now the last one is starving for oxygen and probably suffering from ammonia. You need to research keeping goldfish on the internet. Look on the left isde bar and click on "keeping" and read. I'm sorry to say your other fish has probably gone by now...but if it hasn't change at least 25% of the water..using tap was that has set out for at least an hour or so.if you don't have any chemiclas to treat it.
