My Marine Iraq Vet fiance is upset about me going in the Army?

ok so my fiancee is a Iraq veteran. he did 3 tours, and did the whole 15 months every tour. when i met him i was about to leave for the army. however "something" came up, and i became really ill, and was unable to go to basic. so i just cancelled it all. now that im well again. i want to enlist. but before i do i want to take another approach to enlisting...i want to go to school first. I start college at Travis AFB University this upcoming fall for my AA & at the same time i will be going to UC Davis for the Army ROTC so i can become an Enlisted Officer within the next 4 years for the Army! BUT, (Andrew's not too excited tho, i don't know why? we'll be married before i leave for basic... he will go everywhere i will (travel), except for any war zones, missions or training i would go on. other than that it's all honkey dorey!) RIGHT? im not going anywhere! well, i mean in the marriage....i will always stay with him. he's my EVERYTHING! the army has always had my heart, and ever since 9-11-01, i have always felt the need and that i was born to serve my country. this is my calling. i have no doubt in my mind. ive been told many of times before from people that i was a soldier in another life...i was told by many of those people who see into the past and future. i went to go see one, one time (and i normally dont beleive them..) BUT...because im ALWAYS having dreams about me being in Auschwitz, Poland....and fighting against the germans. of course im an american soldier back in WW2...however i have these dreams almost EVERY night!!!!! so for me to have these dreams, and for those people to tell me that i used to be a soldier in my past life, and how since i was 10 i have felt the need to serve my country...people think im cray because i want to go to war! my motto is.."if you dont want to go to war...THEN DON'T TAKE UNCLE SAMS MONEY!" (meaning: don't enlist if you dont wanna go to war.) so my question is...could i have been a soldier from WW2 in my past life? and, why is my fiancee upset about me going into the army?

I'm not so sure about the dreams...but he may be upset for u joining for a lo of different reasons. My Husbands a marine and was extremely against me joining myself.Even though we were only dating at the time. He'll suggest it to other ppl but when it comes to me he's just dead set against it. I guess it could be how lots of woman are perceived in the military. It changes ppl or could be dangerous. I'm sure you've tried talking to him yourself but maybe you should try asking him again why he's so against it.
