makes the rpms drop, plz help!? its a 2.0 L stick shift NT 1996 eclipse.
when i start the car up it starts okay although it sounds a little weak.
when it does start it idles fine around 1 rpm, normal , but if i give it a little gas, (while stationary and in neutral and/or with clutch all the way down) the rpms go up a little then down past 1 right to 0 and i stall. also if i give it a little more gas, say hold it at 3 rpms, it does that fine but when i let go of the gas again it goes right down to zero.
when im driving and i press the clutch to coast in neutral it stalls, if im good i can save it by giving it a squirt of gas but i can only do it sometimes, usually i just stall.
i can coast fine if my car is in gear, also if i press the clutch down very very slowly instead of dropping it so that my rpms drop slowly, they will usually not go down past 1 but this is hard to do.

this problem started happening today and i think has actually been getting worse as the day goes on, yesterday night it would get close to zero but then quickly bounce up to about 2 then go up and down up and down never really stabilizing, but at least it wouldn't stall.
for the past few months or so i noticed that the car would sometimes occasionally get close to stalling if i pressed the clutch down but it would only get as low as .5 and when it recovered it would stay safely at around 1 and it would ONLY do this if the car had less than a quarter tank of gas and once it was warmed up it wouldn't do it at all.
now it does it no matter how much gas is in it, and it does it every time the rpms drop, not just sometimes, and it doesn't recover, it goes right to zero, and it does it regardless of the engine temperature.

SHORT SUMMARY:
basically anything i do with my clutch or accelerator that would under normal conditions make the rpms fall from a steady number of lets say 2.5, to idle which is about 1rpm, it will as of this morning go right past 1 and stall. it does this every time, and with a full tank of gas regardless of engine temperature and has only been this bad as of this morning, last night it was bad but at least it wouldnt stall.

please help, this is scary, if i stall too many times in a row the engine could flood and if this happens in traffic it would suck majorly, no matter what i am getting it tuned up, but i am more interested if there is a part i can get myself or a repair i can do myself because i will not be able to drive to town to get it fixed without stalling at least 10 times no joke. plz help!!
