I'm 14 years old and I play freshman football at my high school. The last thing we do after practice everyday is work on our conditioning. Coach feels it's very important for us to be able to last four quarters of football, so we run four Gassers, or sprints from one side of the field to the other horizontally twice back per gasser (we have a total of 8 sprints from one side of the field to the other).
Around my third or last gasser, when I am sincerely putting my all into my sprinting, my lower right side of my stomach hurts badly.
The hurting is a throbbing sort of pain that feels like something is going to explode inside of me. The pain goes away fairly quickly after I have finished my sprinting. Gassers are definitely the most strenuous part of practice, and therefore my day. Other than my sprints I never have this kind of pain in my stomach.
Is the pain my appendix? Should I see a doctor? Should I tell the football team's Physical Trainer/Medic? Please give me some insight guys. Thanks in advance for the help. -Nick
