I typed in iPhone 4 on amazon.com, and was greeted with a "wait, click here to see other smartphones" option, with a chart at the end of the link. Curious, i searched for all other major smartphones and didn't find the same link. Hmm..amazon nudging me away from the iPhone? Lets dive into their chart and make an educated decision.
...Woah! The Nokia something has both a touch screen AND a keyboard...twice as good!!! Oh sweet, the HTC EVO has removable memory, and the iPhone .... doesn't, as they have conveniently pointed out. Yea..yea... the iPhone has either twice or quadruple the included memory....but you can always spend $75 on amazon (best site ever) and upgrade it to match the iPhone...and its removable!!!!! No more plugging your phone into your computer - just get a micro SD adapter and do it that way. Screen size, looks like the others are much larger, - if you can fit your phone in your pocket, its got the wrong screen size. Sure, my dad said the bad thing about his 4.3" droid X was that "you cant carry it in your pocket", but think of how great the internet will look on a phone with 1/3 the ppi! Yet another reason to not get iPhone. Ah, and the camera section, nicely summed up by only reporting the megapixel. Who cares if you have a better camera if you've got more MP?. Hmm, iPhone has 5.0, the others have 8.0... clear winner for the EVO. Using the same chart, i could educate myself on the difference between the measly 4MP Canon C-4040 and the impressive 8MP EVO 4G. And video capture - they both have 720p, so i assume the audio and video is exactly the same on both, thanks for the guide amazon. No removable battery on iPhone - DAMN THEM! This collum is of the utmost importance, in 2 years, when i (dont) switch to a new phone and continue to milk my iPhone 4, what will i do when the battery starts to fade? I can tell you this - i wont buy the battery expanders they sell for it, and i wont send it to apple for a replacement. Ill get the EVO 4G, with a 4 hr battery life: which battery lasts longer is mostly unimportant, and i can see why there is no collum for that. I can carry around a spare battery on my belt buckle with the 4G anyway. Thanks for steering me in the right direction amazon. There is no collum detailing the touch screens, speed of OS or user interface so ill assume their all the same. Whats also unimportant and not listed is the fact that iPhone has 5x the apps...nobody cares about apps anyway and both stores all have the same apps probably. I think this chart has changed my mind...im getting the EVO! Its good to know im not a brainwashed apple fanboy, i make educated decisions based on mostly accurate and unbiased charts that cover all and the most important topics.
Disclaimer, this is moslty an lol. My review of the chart is sarcastic. Please avoid getting angry.
